Peran Pemerintah Kota Denpasar dalam Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup dan Konservasi SDA: Kebijakan dan Strategi

Kota Denpasar, sebagai ibu Kota Provinsi Bali, menghadapi tantangan serius dalam pengelolaan lingkungan hidup dan konservasi sumber daya alam akibat pertumbuhan populasi dan aktivitas pembangunan yang intensif. Dalam konteks ini, pemerintah daerah berkomitmen untuk menerapkan strategi pembangunan berkelanjutan yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai lokal dengan praktik modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran pemerintah daerah dalam mengatasi pencemaran, pengelolaan limbah, dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam konservasi sumber daya alam. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan dari wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Denpasar telah meluncurkan berbagai inisiatif, termasuk program edukasi masyarakat dan proyek pertanian perkotaan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sumber daya. Namun, tantangan seperti rendahnya kesadaran publik dan keterbatasan sumber daya menjadi kendala. Kesimpulannya, untuk mencapai keberlanjutan yang diinginkan, diperlukan peningkatan dalam keterlibatan masyarakat dan dukungan kebijakan yang lebih kuat dari pemerintah.
